Casement Park is the home of Gaelic games in Antrim and will provide Ulster GAA with its provincial stadium in Ireland’s second city. The new stadium will be the catalyst for the further development of Gaelic games in Belfast and throughout Ulster, inspiring a new generation and bringing colour and capacity sporting attendances.

Casement Park will serve our national games – football, hurling, camogie handball and rounders – and will become a venue for some of the largest, most significant, and most exciting GAA games that will be played on the island. It will provide superb facilities for Gaels across all ages from toddlers to senior inter-county players hosting county, club and school games and competitions whilst catering for people’s specific needs.

As with the generations who grew up playing Gaelic games at the old Casement Park, the new stadium will help nurture the development of GAA players in Antrim and across the province.

Community Hub

As an inclusive seven-day-a-week facility, Casement Park will put the community at its heart delivering long-lasting community benefits, socially, culturally and economically. As well as providing jobs to local people there are plans for a community café, an education and heritage centre, event space and conference facilities within the new stadium.

Vision - Euro 2028

Ulster GAA and the Casement Park Redevelopment Board were delighted to support our friends and colleagues at the Irish FA by providing the stadium as a tournament venue for UEFA EURO 2028.

The EURO’s will be the most prestigious and most watched global event, ever, to be held here and it provides a once in a generation opportunity to put Belfast in the spotlight for all the right reasons, leaving a long lasting sporting and economic legacy for our people.

The winning EURO bid was awarded 25 years after the Good Friday Agreement and the tournament is set to be played on the 30th anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement. This presents us with a powerful opportunity to shine a global light on the progress our community has made in building peace and reconciliation.

Casement Park is the only regional venue that can host unique and exceptional global events such EURO 2028and construction work will be in line with the timelines required to host the UEFA EURO Championships in 2028
